Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Alex’s Beauty Bar (“InjecTeam”, “we”, “us”) and govern your use of the InjecTeam application and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a clinic or organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind it to these Terms.
Our role
InjecTeam is a software and electronic service provider. We provide documentation, workflow, and scheduling tools — we do not provide medical care, supervision, or advice, and we are not a party to the professional relationship between a medical director and an injector or between a provider and a patient. Our handling of personal and health information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Where InjecTeam handles personal health information on behalf of clinical users, it does so as their service provider and agent (and, in Ontario, an electronic service provider under PHIPA). If you are a U.S. HIPAA covered entity (or a business associate) using the Service to handle protected health information, a separate Business Associate Agreement may be required; these Terms do not constitute or replace one. Any applicable data-processing or PHI agreement between us governs in the event of a conflict with these Terms on data handling.
Who can use InjecTeam
The Service is intended for licensed medical and aesthetic professionals — medical directors, nurse practitioners, physicians, injectors, and nurses — who are of legal age and operating within their scope of practice and registration. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with your professional and regulatory obligations.
Not medical advice; no emergency use
InjecTeam is a documentation and workflow tool. It does not provide medical advice, does not make clinical decisions, and does not replace the judgment of a qualified provider. The Service is not for emergencies or urgent care — if a patient needs urgent help, call your local emergency number. Medical directors remain responsible for the decisions they record, and injectors remain responsible for the treatments they perform.
Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- rely on the Service for emergency or time-critical clinical decisions;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to provide treatment that is unlawful or outside your licensure or scope of practice;
- enter or upload patient information without the authority and consents required to do so;
- share your login credentials, or let anyone use your account;
- attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours;
- reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or circumvent the security of the Service;
- misrepresent your identity, credentials, or authority.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and keep your credentials and devices secure.
- Obtain any patient consents required to capture, enter, and process patient information (including photographs).
- Use the Service lawfully and within your professional scope and regulatory obligations.
- Keep your own records as required by your College, regulator, and applicable law.
Accounts, packages, and payment
Some features are offered as paid plans, consultation packages, credits, or subscriptions, and some billing arrangements are configured between a medical director and their injectors within the app. Fees, billing cycle, and what is included are described at the point of purchase or in your order. Unless stated otherwise: fees are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclusive of taxes; subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; packages and credits may expire as described at purchase; and fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may suspend or limit access for non-payment. We may change pricing on reasonable notice.
Data ownership, access, and export
As between you and InjecTeam, you (and/or the clinic or custodian you act for) retain ownership of the patient and clinical data you submit (“Your Data”). You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, secure, and display Your Data to operate the Service. You may request access to or export of Your Data while your account is active. On termination, Your Data is handled in accordance with the retention rules in our Privacy Policy, including records we are required to retain by law.
Intellectual property
InjecTeam owns and retains all rights in the platform, including its software, branding, name, logos, designs, workflows, templates, and content (excluding Your Data). We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access — with notice where practicable — if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, create regulatory or security risk, engage in misuse, or where we reasonably suspect unauthorized access. We may also suspend the Service to address security or legal issues. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as data ownership, IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may update, change, or discontinue features over time.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement). We are not responsible for clinical outcomes, decisions made by users, treatment performed, or reliance on information that is incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date, nor for third-party services (including Google, app stores, or connectivity).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or loss of or damage to data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the total fees you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold InjecTeam harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your data, your treatment of patients, or your breach of these Terms or of your professional, regulatory, or legal obligations.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
